Our first Farm-to-Table Benefit Dinner in 2012 was an exciting and vital moment in this new era of food and culture at Sylvester Manor. Creating an event that was not just another summer gala was a challenge, and one that Chef Noah met with taste and grace. Using produce from our farm and other local providers, he created dishes that were elegant, delicious and generous. In June, 2013, we held our summer signature event, Artists Against Abuse. Chef Noah and his staff were complete professionals from start to finish. For the past two years, noah’s Restaurant catered the Shelter Island Historical Society “Black & White” benefit. Noah catered my daughter’s farm to table wedding in August 2013. The buzz after the wedding was that it was the best wedding they ever attended. From the savory raw bar to the mouthwatering filet mignon and grilled striped bass, the food was fresh, often local, and delectable. Noah created many dishes using the seasonal vegetables from our farm that pleased all our senses. Laura, the event coordinator, was such a pleasure to work with and very sensitive to the wishes of the bride and groom. Both Noah and Laura helped to create a wedding that will not be forgotten.
